Scuba Classes & Training

  The course cost includes a manual, a workbook, a 2 1/2 hour video tape which follows the manual chapter by chapter, 2 audio tapes, dive tables, a training and recreational logbook, highlighter, pencil, temporary certification card and permanent lifetime certification card. Also included is the use of a weight belt, regulators with gauge's and compass, wetsuit with hood, BCD, and tanks for the pool and the ocean. There will be 4 classroom sessions, 4 pool sessions and 5 ocean dives.   Imagine the thrill of taking your first scuba dive without the supervision of your instructor. Just you, your diving partner and the great big blue. Thousands of people experience this thrill every year as graduates of the Pacific Reef Scuba /NAUI Scuba Diver program, the most comprehensive entry-level recreational diver training available. After successfully completing a series of formal academic sessions and in-water skills training, including a rescue, you'll receive your NAUI Scuba Diver Certification Card. Respected around the world, your NAUI card will give you access to diving services reserved solely for adventurers with your unique training and qualifications.

  Pacific Reef Scuba offers Scuba Diver Certification Classes year round. Some of our best diving is during the winter when the water is clearer. On the North Coast of California the water temperature is pretty much the same all year round. Openwater checkouts are held in Mendocino or Monterey depending on weather and ocean conditions.

  Another great benefit to diving with Pacific Reef Scuba is our flexibility. We have several class schedule options to fit your needs. We work around your schedule to make it convenient to get certified. After becoming certified we offer monthly pleasure dives to many different local areas. The only charge for these trips is any gear you need to rent. In addition you will need to pay for your own camping or hotel and food. You can go out on our boat at no charge. We only wish to keep you diving and offer you a wide variety of diving experiences. We also offer you boat dives on the Cypress Sea, the Cypress Point, & the Monterey Express, all docked in Monterey, CA.
